For those interested in Martial Arts Training focusing on the ground, we offer our students the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program. KRU Training will try to answer the question, "How do you defend yourself on the ground?" The Beginner in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will learn the basics with the Gi (Uniform). As he or she learns the fundamentals of positioning and advantages of leverage, the practitioner my begin training without the Gi. With proper training with this and our Muay Thai program, they may enter our Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) stage of training.
3.Finishes/submissions all dealing with the all important street self defense aspect.
If you're a beginner to Jiu Jitsu I must warn you about a few things. Most importantly you should know that not all schools are created equally, and it is very important that you make an educated decision before picking a school. Most Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools just throw beginner students to the wolves the first week they have started training. Your orientation to Jiu Jitsu is getting your butt kicked and handed to you by more advanced students. In reality, you might as well start a full blown conditioning program before joining a Jiu Jitsu school because if you're not in shape while attending most schools you're going to have a really hard time. On top of that, one dirty little secret that no one at these schools tell you is that your going to learn whatever the instructor decides to teach that day. I mean in all forms of education, sports progression, or any form of higher learning educators/instructors have very detailed finely tuned curriculums to guarantee that a student learns the required material for their level that they are at. The sad fact is that most Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools don't teach from a curriculum.
There are basically two different Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs in the school that will appeal to any and everyone.
We have our “ WHITE BELT BASICS CLASSES ” for the new student just starting out, for the student that is really out of shape, for the student not interested in sparring or competitions, and the new student that will appreciate being able to learn Jiu Jitsu in a non competitive environment.
We also have our advanced and competition classes that are extremely demanding and competitive. This is for the students that are interested in taking it to this level .
